I know I'm extremely late but i finally for my chocomint supplies (I sounds like a loli on accessory crack waiting for her fix) So i didn't order a lot because most of the stuff i wanted were out of stock..... Typical chocomints lol so my order went to Sam's house and i went to pick it up along side my mozerella cheese block, bread crumbs and salsa (As I'm fasting i keep having strange cravings for a week, last week it was salmon and cream cheese sandwich. this month its mozzarella dippers with salsa)
Ive been after these star clips for ages, but you know how its a lolita must have. there all ways out of stock. so when they were in stock. i couldn't decide which one i wanted so i ordered both n said id sell the other one. but now i wanna keep both. There just so cute.

and finally.... this isn't from chocomints but i really wanted to show of my TE hair clip. Those of you that remember me from hyper japan, i was the one that was the street fighter loli. i main sagat. so this clip is my favourite loli accessory.
SO as you guys may have herd the London riots are spinning completely out of control. Peoples homes are being burnt, broken in to and vandalised. So to distract my self of all the horrible sitings. I began feeding my cupcake obsession. So as i have a 30 cupcake order at the end of the month, i was considering how to pack it. i could put 24 in a box but with the remaining 6, id have to buy another box, while i was looking i came across the CUPCAKE BOUQUET PHENOMENA! so i made 2 sets of bouquets and tests

So after the London anime convention, someone saw my cupcakes and asked me to make a birthday cake for them. I haven't started working on fresh cream cakes i tend to work with fondant and gum paste. its so much fun to decorate with, its like playing with play dough. So i was asked to make a converse shoe, to make it a bit more girly i added some strawberry's to it (not real ones fondant strawberry's)
After making these cake I'm really tempted to buy plain all stars and paint on strawberry's :)
This cake was a Madeira cake with lemon flavoured Buttercream :)
A week had passed since Hyper Japan, and i was now going to the London anime convention in north London. This time as a exhibitor. Me and namali had rented out a stall for both days and split it. She was selling her home made deco and i was selling my cupcakes.
I made a variety of cupcakes from simple ones too cookie monster and super Mario ones. It was so much fun working with cupcakes. as i had planned to make 200-300 cupcakes i started 3 days early and started freezing cupcakes as i baked em to make sure they stay fresh on the day. The day before the cake stall i started decorating them. and put em in the fridge.
I managed to sell most of my stock, but personally i think exhibiting at Anime con wasn't such a Good idea. although the staff were amazing they took good care of the exhibitors but not a lot of people were interest in eating haha. My Next stop will Hyper Japan and Ive also been asked to make some official Hyper Japan cupcakes with Japanese flavours. I really cant wait for that, gives me a chance to experiment with new flavours.
London Anime con was a Good opportunity to wake High quality pictures of my cupcakes and do a small loli shoot.

SundayThe Sunday was alot of fun, i got to hang out with Ryan (The Mortal kombat 9 European Champion) i cant express how sound this guy is. one of the nicest guys i know. i also played some SF casuals at Ultimate Clash and managed to sign up for Super Vs Battle 2011.
This blog should have been written AGES AGO! but... I've had a pretty hectic couple of weeks. I still haven't even started recovering... I'm going to try my best to remember as much as I can.. as it’s been a while and don't remember a lot.
So as some of you know, I got in to the finals of kawaii star of the year which then involved 2 stages.
1) Public vote
2) judges choices (which were judged upon the stage performance)
I had decided to show off my ability to decorate cakes and cupcakes as my stage performance. This was completely different from what the other four finalists had decided to do. The other four finalists had constructed a dance number or a song or both. From this I had already realized I would stand out. This could be a bad thing or a good thing. Never the less, I decided to stick to this performance as this is what I was good at.
I decided to make a 3 tiers cake that was inspired by 3 of my favorite Kawaii Fashions. The bottom layer was meant to be inspired by Lolita, which I had decided to replicate the Baby’s TSSB Melty Mermaid print. The middle layer was meant to be inspired by Fairy kei, That was ment to be a copy of the 6%dokidoki dress. The top layer was meant to be inspired by Gyaru, using a Jesus Diamante theme. Which were a flower print and edible crystals and glitter.
TOP LAYER MIDDLE LAYER BOTTOM LAYER As I had been working on the Saturday from 12-6 I hadn’t much time to work on this cake. I began to rush everything eventually totally destroying the cake. I couldn’t believe how wrong everything was going. I practically cried like a big fat baby. Namalie told me to bake 2 bases and we'd stick with a 2 tier base, and she'd help me the next morning b4 we head off to Olympia. so i finished baking (were talking it’s about 3.30am now) I eventually couldn’t function no more, and thought I should go to bed as I have a busy day ahead of me
Well what happens? I not only have to decorate my cake n get ready, I over sleep. I managed to get up n run to Namalie house with my whole cake decorating kit. I thought if I get ready i can work on my cake after (usually a bad idea because you don’t want powder all over your dress, which I had been walking around with cake ingredients on my skirt) I then thought I should take the cake to the venue n work on it there. If I get there for 12 I got 2 hours to work on it. So we decided to work on the cupcakes. I had made cupcake in a ice-cream cone with fresh cream and edible glitter. So we wrapped them and left for the train station.
When I thought things couldn’t get any worse. I get stranded on some random train station on my way to the venue. So not only is my cake unfinished I have the hyper Japan stage stuff ringing me and asking me if I’m still coming. I could not express to you how much of a bad state I was in lol.
So I finally made it to Hyper Japan 30 minutes before I’m meant to be on stage. I was totally freaking out, a hair dresser came to do my hair and I ended up freaking out and going "NO DONT TOUCH MY HAIR ITS A WIG". I was so stressed out I think I freaked out the hair stylist. So I put together the cupcakes super fast and my lovely makeup artist was doing my makeup. I had such a bad day, I was totally freaking out I just wanted to walk out and not even bother going on stage and saving myself the embarrassment, luckily my friends Namalie, Syara and shah carried on supporting me and calming down. Before I knew it was being rushed on to the stage with the 8 make shift cupcakes I had.
so I went on stage and the host was talking to me and I just didn’t have the energy to lie or make up a excuse for presenting nothing so I just told everyone the truth and apologized. I couldn’t believe how nice the audience were and so understanding so I spoke about how I make cakes and how one of my cakes were on Capcom-Unity (A gaming forum by the creators of resident evil, devil may cry, street fighter and monster hunter). I managed to get a lot of fans on the right hand side of the audience that were gamers. I handed my silly excuse of cupcakes to the audience and came of stage.
While I was on stage, I couldn’t stop shaking my voice was trembling I couldn’t look at the audience, not to mention my wig was falling off lol. I was sooo scared. This felt worse than when I’m playing street fighter in the arcades and I have people standing behind me watching my every move and criticizing my choice of counters. i couldn’t believe how i cried as soon as i got of stage, my tears were just falling down like there was no tomorrow. Backstage everyone was so nice and my make up artist was hugging me and telling me it’s okay. My friends came to the fitting room and just told me to relax. I really didn’t want to go back on stage but i thought it wouldn’t be fair for the people that put all their efforts in to organizing this event. So i done my yukuta walk and it was really rushed because I just wanted to hurry up and get off.

The one and a half hour gap between the being on stage was exactly what I needed. I went outside and sorted myself out and tried my best to enjoy myself. I had just made myself think I’m not reaching top 3, so I might as well enjoy the opportunity I have now. It was heartbreaking as this competition was more than the Japan trip as I could save up and go when ever I want or the baby dress's which I could buy with overtime. I actually wanted the opportunity to be a professional blogger. I had accepted I hadn’t won, and I had told myself, it’s not the end of the world and just walked around, checked out the sushi awards (I must say the sushi garden was the best it’s a shame it didn’t win).
So it was 4.15 and time to go back to the changing rooms and prepare to go on stage. i got my make up done and we were called up on stage. I could feel the tension on stage as everyone was just waiting for their names to be called while I just stood there, not thinking at all.

The winners began getting called out. Third Place went to Gemma Boyle, and I got second place, it took a while for me to realize Kanon had said my name. I was shocked to the fact that I even got to top three I didn't know what to say. Lastly Scarlett young had won and came first place. I'm really happy for her I think she deserved to win, her performance was amazing and as she’s young it could open up so many opportunities for her. I wasn't too heartbroken I'm just happy someone I was close to had won and as for me I still had my street fighter <3 so it was a win win situation. I guess I have to wait a few years before I can go see the arcades in Tokyo and have a chance to stalk Mago (Top Japanese street fighter player).
It was a amazing experience.... and I’m so grateful for all the people that supported me and voted for me and especially for Namalie, Noshin, shah and Syara for just being there for me and giving me hope when I didn’t have any lol.
The bonus of the day was, I got told by 2 staff members that Kanon loved my cupcakes…
